Thanks so much to everyone who joined our Zoom meeting
And huge Thank You to Derek DeFranco for leading the virtual tasting.

Membership Renewal

With the start of the new calendar year, we also start a new membership year.
Thank you to those that have already renewed their membership.

Your new membership card and tasting glass is at Rock House for pick-up. Please complete a waiver and show Rock House some support when picking these up.

After 1/31, anyone who has not renewed will no longer receive Froth or the Brewer Dude discount, and only paid members can participate in Iron Mash, Mash Madness, BOCKtoberfest, and other club-only events

Brewer Dude Mash Madness

The Final Four of the 2020-2021 Mash Madness is underway.
Entries are due to Keith by January 31st
Winners will be announced at the February meeting

As an added wrinkle this year, in addition to drawing a style to brew, the finals will also be linked to a commercial example of that style.

Thanks to everyone who participated through all the brackets and a continued thank you to Brewer Dude for sponsoring the head to head action.

Barrel Project

Brett Saison will be emptied on January 31st.
Be on the lookout for an email from Kieth with details.

The Flanders Red barrel will be ready to dump later this spring.

It’s almost the time of the year to start new barrel projects, start thinking what you would like to do this year (maybe we can finally get a Rum barrel?). More to come from Kieth.

Club Calendar updates

With the unknowns of COVID, we will be switching some of the annual events around to hopefully increase our changes of them actually happening.
Iron Mash will move to May (exact date still tbd)
Bluegrass Cup will move to early September
Many more specifics to come, but hopefully this will help with planning

BOCK T-Shirts & Hats!

We have some extra BOCK t-shirts available for $15. If you are interested, please reach out dirk757@earthlink.net. Note: The shirts run one size smaller than what’s on the tag; so if you want a Large, you would want one with an Extra Large tag.

We will be ordering hats this year for purchase. If you have an idea for a style or design, please reach out to Dirk. Details on ordering forthcoming.

BOCK Instagram

BOCK has started an Instagram account to highlight the events that we host and/or attend. Follow our account at https://www.instagram.com/bockbrewky/

BOCK Website

How to Register:

  • Go to www.bockbrew.com.
  • Create an account here. When not logged in you will find this link under “Members”.
  • Fill out your account with a photo and membership info (go to the members page, find your profile and click edit).
  • Once registered your account will be flagged for approval by an officer. Once it is approved you will receive an email letting you know.
  • Now you have access to member-only areas of the site such as “Topics”, where club events like barrel fills and bulk malts are discussed, and “Froth” where current and previous issues of Froth can be read over and over.
